Background[]
Assistant Kunihiko is a black smith's apprentice and wants to become a better black smith. He traveled all the way to Onigashima to see a Kikuichimonji sword to gain inspiration from it. The player helps him acquire this sword and just laying eyes on the sword, inspiration strikes Assistant Kunihiko and he rushes off to begin work on his very own sword.

Assistant Kunihiko is an NPC that only stays in a single spot in north Onigashima until the player completes the quest "A Smith's Inspiration" where he doesn't show up again.
