Lady Shizuka reflects on how unexpected the events in Yamataikoku became when Himiko shut herself in the Room of Rites and offered up her prayers. Just like Himiko, Lady Shizuka used to perform dances for the gods at festivals in Edo. The outfit she was made to wear was hard to move in, and she didn't really like it. Though there were discomforts for Lady Shizuka, along with the boring ceremonies, as long as the gods enjoyed it, she was happy.
