"An ogre-faced spider that was depicted as a massive beast in the Heike Monogatari. As it turns out, they're kind of small. They tend to make their nests in the ground and spend their time waiting for flies and other small prey to pass by so they can snare them by launching a web at them. As terrifying as it would be for a bunch of spiderweb to come flying out of the ground, it would seem that the rumors about them eating travelers are unfounded on account of their size."
