During the Sengoku era, he was a famous warlord who fought valiantly until he claimed victory. He died long ago, but seems to have been revived and bound to the mortal coil by Hades. In the past, he was something of a leader to the Tanuki across the country and used their power to unify it under his banner. In order to defeat his mortal enemy, Mitsunari-san, he's rallied his Tanuki forces to wage a ferocious war."
