Story[]
Yoshitsune marvels at the player's immense power and strength to be able to defeat a Kamikui. She wonders what training the player went through to have such power, since the player is equivalent to a one-man army.
This brings a question about the necessity of sealing away the Kamikui years ago, if their small band of warriors could do it. Having a few more Oni like the player, they could have defeated all of the Kamikui instead of sealing them. Yoshitsune quotes that, from the texts, defeating Kamikui was deemed impossible, so they were sealed. Though she wonders about this question, she says there is no point in worrying about it so much since they have enough issues in front of them as it is.
Yoshitsune goes back to wondering about the player himself, as having the player in the Shogunate's army would expand the Shogunate's influence greatly. Onigashima has had a history, though, of strictly forbidding Shogunate interference. Kiichihougen is also intent on maintaning sovereignty. Onigashima has a strict isolationist policy and because of this there is not much information about ancient Onigashima in the Shogunate's files. Recently, the restrictions have been lifted and the island has become a tourist trap. The Onis have mingled with the humans and only a few like the player are left. Yoshitsune would like to know more about old Onigashima, but they need to focus on dealing with the current Kamikui threat.
