Onigiri features a gameplay feature involving liquor. By consuming various types of liquors, the player takes on a variety of effects, from stat boosts to health regeneration.
Usage[]
In order to consume liquor, the player must first have a liquor bottle. Once this is acquired, an image of it will appear at the bottom of the player's screen, on the right side of the skills list. When empty, bottles will have a symbol showing that they can no longer be used. Bottles themselves are infinitely reusable, and can be refilled by paying Ibaraki Douji. To consume liquor, double click or right click the bottle in which it is contained. Note that some liquors may have different effects accross the different versions of the game.
Acquisition[]
After Ibaraki Douji is unlocked as a partner, a variety of drinks will be available for purchase. Most drinks are made available by increasing your friendship with Ibaraki, and other brands of drinks can be unlocked with liquor order forms, obtainable from quests and drops. Drinks have a variety of parameters, including the proof, price, and in the case of stat-boosting liquors, effect duration.
Bottles[]
Different types of bottles offer different capacities and effects. Some bottles can be obtained by increasing Ibaraki's friendship level. Additional bottles can be unlocked by using bottle order forms, obtainable from quests and monster drops. As of the Kaga content cap, the player is only allowed to be in possession of two bottles. But, later on, the player is granted access to three, allowing them to carry a large variety of alcohol at once. Naturally, the usage, type and refilling of each bottle is separate, but the player can hit the "fill all" option, to instantly top up on the alcohol that was previous contained in each bottle.
