Lady Shizuka heads to Miroku to talk about the sight of a huge trading vessel making landing near Sakai. She asks whether the ships are usually loaded with delicious snacks and beautiful gems. Miroku responds with a confirmation of her assumption and announces how he has already made plans to buy up some of their stock. Along with his new recent purchase, Sakai is also his hometown and where his headquarters is located.

Lady Shizuka is amazed he lives there and says it must be nice to live in Sakai. Miroku disagrees by saying it isn't a place for the wealthy and his shop there is only a small one that makes its living off of importing foreign goods. Though it may be tiny, Miroku says, it is always lively in there. His mum is always going on about how they will never lose to some big store and thanks to her, Miroku has become the merchant that he is today.

Lady Shizuka says she would love to visit the store sometime, but Miroku quickly denies her request. He explains, he doesn't want to invite his friends there on account that his mother might do something embarrassing. He may never be able to live down with the embarrassment, since his mother still treats him like a little kid. Miroku ends the conversation about Sakai stating that other than his shop, Sakai is a pretty nice place, though he hasn't been back in ages. Lady Shizuka condescends him saying he shouldn't worry his mother so much. Miroku retorts that her statement is funny, coming from the princess who ran away from home.
