Background[]
An Oni famous throughout the lands for his villainous behavior, and known for his catch phrase "Power is everything, those without it have no place in this world."
Shuten-Douji is not actually his real name, but rather the name of the leader of bandits who raised him as a child. Ibaraki-Douji (who was known by a different name then) was raised alongside him and they grew up as siblings. However, as the bandit leader began to act less like a bandit and more like a man protecting his family, the young man's disappointment grew.
Eventually, in a night that would rock Kyoto to its core, the young man killed the bandit leader and assumed his name, becoming Shuten-Douji.
Keeping no company except his own, he traveled the land committing deeds of violence and mayhem. Challenging giant Youkai where he found them and paying no heed to the damage done to the surrounds.
He enjoys a cup of sake after his villainous deeds.
Personality[]
天下に名を轟かせる大悪党である鬼。
力こそが全てであり、力を持たないものはこの世に必要無いと言う
排他的かつ凶暴な考えの持ち主で、常に絶対悪であろうとする。
「酒呑童子」という名は本来の名前ではなく、自分を拾って親代わり
に育ててくれた盗賊団の首領が名乗っていたもの。
茨木童子と同時期に拾われ(この頃は茨木童子も別の名前であった)
兄妹同然に育てられたが、時が経つと共に盗賊団の首領ではなく
家族を守るただの男になっていった酒呑童子に失望する。
そしてある夜、かつては京を震撼させ、恐れられていた盗賊団を
『たった一人で』壊滅させ、酒呑童子の名を奪った。
誰ともつるまず、悪行の限りを尽くす。己の強さを知らしめるために
村や町を襲う強く凶暴な大妖怪を討つことがあるが、周りを顧みない
ので討つ相手とともに辺り一帯を破壊してしまうと言う。
酒が大好きで、一暴れした後の一杯をとても楽しみにしている。
