Story Teller Houichirou is a monk who has gone blind. He travels the lands telling stories and poems to passersby to gain enough money for food. Once, he lost his inspiration for making poems and asks a passing stranger, the player, to help him acquire a Twilight Melancholy dropped from a Sunset Sticky to help him gain his inspiration back.

Story Teller Houichirou cannot be found until the quest "To Kyoto" is completed.
