Yoshiro is a lumberjack for trade in Kumaso Village. While chopping his wood he had pulled something in his shoulder requiring a special medicine to heal his wounded shoulder. With his shoulder repaired to perfection, he actually had the newly found strength to snap his spear in two. With the need for another spear to protect him from bears in the forests, he requests for the player's help in acquiring a Gingko Spear, which has the strength to not snap easily like his previous spear.
Though Yoshiro has his trusty spear to protect him from bears, the bears have become more aggressive lately and he and the villagers have been poisoning the bears with Centipede's Poison. The aggressiveness of the bears has reached such a high enough danger that the use of this poison is the only thing that is keeping the bears at bay.
